My Custom Halo Reach helmet.

Well as some of you know I have been working on a Noble 6 style helmet from the new Halo Reach video game for Xbox 360. It started as a pepakura(paper craft) model that I got of of the 405th.com site. The 405th is an awesome site for making armor weapons and lots more from Halo video games and more. They also have tutorials for people just gettin started in pepakura, its a fantastic and helpful site

Anyway here are some photos of the helmet through the stages. I'm not quite done yet, I still need to purchase a motorcycle visor and some padding to finish it off. It's not perfect and it is my first attempt at this but I'm quite proud of how it turned out.

The Pepakura stage:

The Helmet resined on the outside and fiberglassed on the inside.

The helmet durring the body work. Lots of bondo and sanding.
The fist stage of paint.

The final paint job. I went with a custom paint scheme based on the WWII nose art they had on planes.

If you want to learn how to make a helmet or armor from Halo or other video games or movies please be sure to visit the 405th site fourms on pepakura. http://www.405th.com/forumdisplay.php/14-Pepakura-and-Cardboard-Armor
